Protec has developed a one of a kind optical sorter that can sort aflatoxin contaminated corn. Aflatoxins belong to particularly harmful family of mycotoxins and the ongoing climate change has increased their development. Corn destined for human and animal food is one of the toxin’s preferred target. The contaminated kernels, illuminated with a special light, become fluorescent and are detected by the sorter’s cameras. The vision system, thus can detect the contaminated kernels, and it sends a reject command to a system of precise air jets
